About me

Shafrin Islam (she/they) is an illustrator and an animator who is driven by the power of storytelling. She received her Master of Fine arts from Minneapolis College of Art and Design during May 2024 with a focus on experimental animation and interdisciplinary art practise. Their work spans the fields of illustration, watercolor painting, animated installations and embraces both digital and traditional animation techniques. In addition, their artistic journey delves into the realms of multimedia design, music, photography, and the meticulous craft of miniature making.​

When she is not working, she is found playing the piano, looking for interesting places to eat or staring at the clouds.
